Research On The Port Logistics Development Strategy Of Wanzhou Port Group

Under the trend of global economic integration, the modern logistics industry is developing rapidly. Port as an important part of the integrated transportation system and an important node of modern logistics activities, whose function is changing from the traditional transport center to the comprehensive logistics center, and become an important strategy to maintain dominant position of regional and global competition. How to take advantage of port location, strengthen port construction, expand port functions, promote the development of regional economy and so on have become an important issue in the development of port logistics.Wanzhou Port Group which including Wanzhou port, Fengjie port, Zhongxian port, Shizhu port, Yunyang port, Wushan port and Wuxi port, is an important part of Chongqing port. Wanzhou Port Group has been playing an important role in the construction of the upper reaches of Yangtze River shipping center rely on its special geographical location, traffic advantage, and rich business resources. Studying on the development strategies of Wanzhou Port Group has important practical significance to integrating logistics resources, promoting the industrial cluster effect of Wanzhou Port Group, improving port logistics service level, promoting the development of port logistics industry and regional economy. Therefore, this paper is focused on the development strategies of Wanzhou Port Group based on the current status of port logistics research at home and abroad.First of all, by using SWOT analysis, this paper analyzed the current development status of Wanzhou Port Group based on Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, and the SWOT matrix is obtained. Secondly, the Wanzhou Port Group’s cargo throughput and container throughput are forecasted by applying grey model, BP neural network model and regression analysis model. Finally, according to the current development status and development goals of Wanzhou Port Group, the development strategies of Wanzhou Port Group are proposed from eight aspects.
