It is difficult for female university students to find a suitable job in recent years since the Chinese government released the College Expansion Plan from1999. For female university students, the main problem in finding a job is the gender discrimination in employment, which including unfair job opportunity, injustice competition, and the difference treatment between a man and a woman when they already obtain a job. This kind of social phenomenon is caused by the contradiction between economic benefits and social equity under the condition of socialist market economy. Focus on the discrimination problem on female university students to be employed, three kinds of discrimination are selected to be discussed, they are:entering permission discrimination, promotion discrimination and compensation discrimination, which conclude that discrimination for the female university students exists in the labor market in China today. After the analysis for the reasons why this kind of discrimination happens, the paper gives some examples of the treatment for the advanced countries such as:Japan, Britain, and The USA towards this problem. Through the learning of the advantage from the advanced countries, we could get some inspiration for our public policy to deal with the problem in job finding for female students. I have been to the Job Fair held in Bao Tou in February,2013to find a job there as a graduate student, I found that many enterprises emphasized on the gender they need, which is unfair to the employee. The difficulty for the female university students to obtain a job is a real problem that cannot be neglected. To solve the problem, we must take strong measures from all sectors of society to guide and promote employment, through which we might have a result on changing the present status for the female university students on employment, and to better protect the harmonious development of society and the state long-term economic development.
