| Since the reform and opening up, our country has made remarkable social and economic achievements, with the GDP growth leapfrogging over the period of thirty years. However there emerges a declining trend with the domestic environment, especially the worsening rural environmental pollution, China has a rural population of980million,560,000administrative villages and over3million natural villages. It is safe to say the rural economic development and the farmers’income are closely associated with the national economic development, and the rural ecological environment has direct impact on China’s ecological civilization construction process. In consideration of the actual situation in our country, the rural environment protection shall be taken as the top priority in the rural economic development. Take XuChang as an example, the farmers’ income always relies on family business income, with the income of household operation taking up around52%of per capita net income of farmers. In the agriculral farming process, such phenomenon as over-exploiting and excessive fertilization is still prevalent. Currently, the natural ecological environment in Xuchang is stressed and there increases a serious conflict between the economic and social development and the existing ecological resources. What’s more serious, the overall environmental quality lags far behind the ecological standards for human habitation.Taking account of the above and based on the theory of Marxism, the paper probes into the issues of the farmers’ income and ecological protection in Xuchang, a typical agricultural town. It strives to find a path to strike a balance between increasing the fanners’ income and protecting ecological environment in order to promote sustainable rural economic development. In the first place takes the connotation and meaning of ecological civilization construction as the starting point of discussion and highlights the urgency to integrate increasing farmers’ income with ecological protection in light of the basic requirements of building the well-off society. It analyses the scholar theories from home and abroad about the rural economic development and ecological protection and further defines the meaning of thesis topic and the research goal.then it clarifies the ecological protection theory and the notions of increasing farmers’ income; Secondly it studies the intrinsic consistency and potential conflict between increasing farmers’ income and the ecological protection, which serves as theoretical basis for the following discussion; Lastly it makes a detailed discussion of the positions of the national leadership toward the relationship between farmers’ income and ecological protection as well as the relevant classic theories by representative Marxist writers, with a view to strengthening the theoretical significance of this paper. At length analyses the difficulties in XuChang with the coordination between increasiing farmers’ income and ecological protection, and points out the negative impact of the traditional means of increasing farmers’ income and the blind style of farming production on the ecology and the steady growth of farmers’ income as well as the major causes behind.explores the development path of increasing farmers’ income and ecological protection in light of XuChang’s basic situation. It proposes to plan the agricultural development through innovation of agricultural development ideas, to enhance the market competitiveness of the ecological tourism in XiangCheng, the ecological agriculture in YanLing and the planting and deep processing industry of the traditional Chinese medicine in YuZhou through making good use of the local conditions and based on the actual situation. It finally proposes a series of solutions in terms of culture, economy, policy and law to safeguard the growth of farmers’ income and ecological protection. At the end of the article, through summarizing and analyzing the whole paper, it points out that the key of coordinated development of farmers’ income and ecological protection is to practice, and problems and issues occurring in reality shall be resolved in the process of practice. |
