A Study On Cultural Tourism Industry Mode From The Perspective Of Industrial Convergence Theory

With the advent of “experience economy” and “the area of leisure”，moreand more people thirst for cultural tourism and leisure tourism to enjoy nature and thenrelax themselves. Under this circumstance tourism industry integrates with otherindustries so as to meet the tourists’ diversified and specific demands. As acomprehensive industry, Tourism not only consumes fewer resources but also offersmore job opportunities. Thus the Chinese government attaches great importance to thedevelopment of tourism industry and has issued a document named the Advice onSpeeding up the Tourism Industry by the State Council. On Oct.18th2011, the sixthplenary session of the CPC central committee advocates deepening the reform of thecultural system to promote greater development and prosperity of socialist culture.Thedocument focuses on developing tourism into a pillar and strategic industry to satisfythe demands of the masses. Tourism industry and cultural industry have a closerelation with each other. From the perspective of cultural industry, culture is the coreas well as the essence of tourism. While tourism serves as the carrier and platform forcultural communication. Supported by the Central Government, the State Council aswell as the Municipal Government, tourism industry as well as the cultural industryenjoys the great opportunity to integrate with each other and forms the new industry-the so-called cultural tourism industry which not only satisfies the tourists’ newdemands but also sustains tourism development. Based on the industrial convergencetheory, this paper mainly discusses the mode of cultural tourism industry.The whole article can be divided into6chapters. Chapter1is the introductionpart which includes research background, the literature review, significance of theresearch, contents, methods as well as the framework so as to make the readers have aclear picture of the whole paper.Chapter2mainly summarizes the definition of the industrial convergence theory;concepts of tourism industry as well as the cultural industry. The concepts of culturaltourism industry are mainly discussed in this part. Chapter3not only discusses the integration basis and characteristics of thecultural tourism industry but also analyzes the integration degree between tourismindustry and cultural industry.Chapter4analyses the dynamical system including the push and pull systems aswell as the supporting system in the integration process of cultural tourism industry.Chapter5discusses three types of integration patterns including the extensiveintegration pattern, reconstructive integration pattern as well as the infiltrativeintegration pattern. The case study of Qujiang is also discussed in this part. Accordingto the analysis, the integration of cultural tourism industry in Qujiang belongs to theinfiltrative integration pattern.Chapter6proposes a strategy for an extensive integration in cultural tourismindustry from the perspective of dynamical system.Chapter7summarizes the highlights f the paper which includes the integrationbasis, integration systems as well as the integration patterns. Moreover, prospects andweakness of the paper are also discussed in this part so as to further this research.
