Study Of Medical Insurance Model Of Migrant Workers In Shanghai

As China’s industrialization and urbanization process accelerated, new labor force-migrant workers came into being. They break away the land and make significant contribution for the local economic and social development. However, migrant workers live in the edge of the city. As citizens, they cannot enjoy the same social security benefits with the urban residents just for the limitations of urban-rural split and the household registration system. The risk of migrant workers in employment and life has become increasingly prominent. The issue of migrant workers gradually being concerns of the community and social security of migrant workers also began to receive government attention. Medical insurance has become the second floor in the bottom line of the social security system guarantees for migrant workers,next to the underlying demand for industrial injury insurance. Working with migrant workers mobility characteristics, coupled with its poor working conditions, low incomes, making migrant workers drifted between the public and the farmers, it is difficult to directly incorporate any kind among existing health insurance model. Farmers work for socially vulnerable groups, dispersed in all the major economically developed areas, the large number of migrant workers to solve the problem of health insurance arduous task can not be hurried. Shanghai is the most economically developed cities in China and also made baking earliest exploration and innovation in the medical insurance of migrant workers. At present, Shanghai has completed the health insurance reform. This is a reference for migrant workers health insurance model of China. This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part. It describes the background and significance of this topic, research methods and paths, as well as related literature review article possible innovations and shortcomings.The second chapter of this thesis related concepts and current profile of migrant workers health insurance model. This chapter describes the migrant workers and other related medical insurance model concept and introduces the theory associated with this article, but the current five migrant workers for health insurance with a simple comparative analysis.The third chapter is the overview and introduction of the comprehensive model in shanghai before the reform. The chapter introduced the overview, advantages and problems of the comprehensive model in shanghai.The fourth chapter is the city insurance model after the reform of the medical insurance in shanghai and the empirical analysis. Firstly, this chapter introduced the overview of the medical insurance of the migrants after the reform, and then by analyzing930migrant workers in Shanghai questionnaire to understand their work, physical condition, medical insurance needs, etc., and the survey results are analyzed to identify the problem of the mode of medical insurance of migrant workers in Shanghai.The fifth chapter is Shanghai migrant workers health insurance model suggestions for improvement.By studying the model of medical insurance of migrant workers in Shanghai, this paper put forward some suggestions for perfection of the model.
