With the deepening of reform and opening up, China’s social and economicdevelopment is rapid, rapid urbanization driven by population growth significantlyimproved, increasing pressure on the supply of land for construction. However, thelimited land resources and urban construction land demand unlimited conflict makesonly rely on the extensive expansion of the city has been unable to keep up with thepace of urban development and conversion of existing land-use patterns, only with newconcepts and ideas, and vigorously promote the economical and intensiveland in orderto achieve sustainable economic and social development. More research at this stage, from the microscopic point of view of the functional areas, parcel intensive use of land, lack of macro research evaluation unit of the intensive use of administrativejurisdictions. In this paper, Chengdu19districts and counties for the evaluation of the object, building a comprehensive evaluation index system from the macro level of ChengduLand Intensive Use, draw all districts and counties of intensive land use compositescore. Use the number of axes on the Chengdu area of intensive land use degree divided, and the results of the evaluation and the Chengdu three spheres of administrativedivisions combined drawing the Chengdu area land in type maps directly reflect thedegree of intensive differences in space and, finally,Chengdu regional differences, analyzes the reasons for the formation of the difference. The results show that: To Summarize, the intensive use of land in Chengdu is to becharacterized: the overall level of land use is in a leading position within the centralurban city areas and slightly higher than the outer suburbs, generally showing atendency of attenuation outward from the center. On the basis of our analysis, the landutilization level in Chengdu regional can be primitively divided into four types, whichincludes TypeⅠof Jinjiang and wuhou District mode; Type II of Qingyang, Jinniu,Chenghua, Chongzhou Wenjiang, Pengzhou, Longquanyi, and Xindu District mode;Type III of Pixian, Qionglai, and Dujiangyan District mode; Type Ⅳ of Shuangliu,Jintang, Xinjin, Pujiang, Dayi, and Qingbaijiang County mode. All these space distributed differences undoubtedly result from various factors like economicdevelopment, population density, industrial structures, policies and institutionaldifferences, as investigated in the dissertation. Simultaneously we intend to come upwith policy recommendations to improve the standard of Chengdu’s land utilization.
