In the era of knowledge economy, science and technology is vital to thecultivation of innovative thinking.College students’ innovative thinking ability trainingmore and more attach people’s importance. This paper introduces the concept of mindmap, use, production process, especially for the students’ creative ability of science andtechnology of the role of culture are introduced, and put forward the preliminarycorresponding solutions.Cultivating the students’ scientific and technological innovation thinking is animportant content of quality education, therefore, how to cultivate students’ creativethinking in teaching to has become an important research subject to educationresearchers. Mind map as a kind of effective innovation thinking tools, has beenwidely used in Europe, the United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan teachers in theirteaching activities of "creative thinking". The university stage is crucial to students’innovative thinking ability. Teachers in the teaching progress should create moreteaching activities to benefit students’ creative thinking ability. On how to use mindmap to promote students’ innovative thinking development in teaching process, thispaper puts forward a new type of innovative thinking teaching mode-"to promote thestudents’ innovative thinking development" mind map teaching ". This teaching modefully played the mind map tool potential value, and better reflected the new educationat characteristics of Times.This research mainly include the following contents:The first part, through the literature research explains the mind map of relevanttheoretical basis, application status, related theory of science and technologyinnovation thinking, training methods, evaluation method, etc.The second part of this paper, the theoretical basis of teaching elements and theteaching process, promotes the development of students’ scientific and technologicalinnovation thinking mind map teaching pattern ofThe third part, the practice organized the teaching practice activities on the mind map to promote students’ science and technological innovation thinking development,and carried out relevant investigation to check and improve the teaching mode.In a word, this research did some beneficial attempt in training mode using mindmap building to train students’ innovation of science and technology, and providedbeneficial reference to teaching practice of mind map.
