Study On Influence Of Openness, Relational Network, Knowledge Sharing On Manufacturing Enterprises’ Innovation Performance

Open innovation provides a new mode of thinking for enterprises breaking through innovation bottleneck. The enterprises rely on this model and strive to improve innovation performance. China has become the world’s manufacturing superpower. And the Yangtze River Delta is one of the regions with higher levels of China’s manufacturing industry development. Its innovative capacity and technological level has a comparative advantage in china. However, the technological innovation performance of this region’s manufacturing sector is still low as a whole at present, which seriously influences the industrial upgrading and enterprise development. Therefore, in the open innovation environment, improving the innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises is the key to drive industrial upgrading and maintain competitive advantage.In this paper, the impact of openness, relational network, knowledge sharing on innovation performance impact is focused. Thus, it takes into account the interaction of openness, relational network and knowledge sharing, which provided some guidance for the manufacturing enterprise innovation problem solving and performance improvement. Firstly, on the basis of relevant literature review, a theoretical analysis on the relationship among openness, relational network, knowledge sharing and innovation performance was carried out to establish corresponding research assumptions and conceptual model. Secondly, in order to verify the proposed theoretical assumptions, the questionnaires from232manufacturing enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region are collected as a research data. Statistical tools such as SPSS20.0and AMOS20.0are used to analyze data. The paper tests reliability and validity of data and utilizes structural equation model (SEM) to test the path relationship between variables.The conclusion shows that:(1) Openness has a significant positive impact on relational network.(2)Openness has a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing.(3)Relational network has a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing.(4)Openness has a significant positive impact on innovation performance.(5)Relational network has no significant positive impact on innovation performance.(6)Knowledge sharing has a significant positive impact on innovation performance.(7)Relational network and knowledge sharing are significant intermediate variables existed in the path of openness on innovation performance, while knowledge sharing is also an intermediate variable existed in the path of relational network on innovation performance.
