The Chinese express delivery market is developing rapidly with a speed of 25 percents and a fully opening of logistics market. Expected in the next ten years, China will become the global express industry fastest-growing country hopefully. At present, there are three forces of competitions: State express enterprises represented by EMS; foreign express enterprises represented by DHL, FedEx, UPS and TNT; kprivate express enterprises represented by SF and Zhaijisong. However, regardless of being the profession experience, the management effectiveness, the specialized technology and the fund strength, there is a big disparity between our express enterprises and foreign express enterprises. Meanwhile, the new《Postal Law》has defined the scale of fund, services and capacity for access. In the context, to study how to consolidate the traditional advantages of EMS, how to enhance the competitive advantage of private express delivery to protect the national express industry has become particularly important.Therefore, from a macro point of view, this paper firstly analysed the status of express delivery industry and the economic environment; secondly through the Porter's "diamond model " analyzed the six factors of express industry development; finally put forward: in the future, our express industry should training and introduction of senior people and seek a strategic plan for their own development based on enhancing the capacity of differentiation strategy.The micro level, firstly comparative analysis of the enterprises' competitiveness level from directly competitiveness and support competitiveness competitiveness; followed use SPSS statistic analysis software to do cluster analysis and predict the trends; finally, select four large private express enterprises to do an empirical study.Through the above study, this paper proposes the development strategy that enhance the service level in the domestic market and implement the specific strategy in the international market. In particular, we should increase investment, improve professional quality and segment domestic market; strengthen the brand and network building; integration of resources, vertical and horizontal to enhance overall competitiveness of express enterprises in our country.
