The maturity of project management, a new research focus and frontier in the project management areas, can be applied to make a comprehensive assessment of the quality of project management which is usually difficult to qualify, so as to help enterprises to improve the level of project management. Marketing of new IT product is a complex project management, experiencing a series of interrelated processes from market research, product development, manufacturing until the sale. The success of a project is closely associated with a high level of project management and the organization progress. A comprehensive assessment of new IT product marketing based on the maturity of the project management theory has certain significance in improving the capabilities of the research and development of new drugs.In terms of the theoretical studies in the current project management maturity, the main focus on the basic theory analysis of project management maturity, and the influence of the application of project management maturity on the project management. However, the research on practical application of project management maturity is rare. Meanwhile, some R&D enterprises do not pay enough attention to the application of project management maturity, or just make a superficial qualitative analysis, instead of application with quantitative analysis together, such as fuzzy comprehensive assessment method. Therefore, the guiding function to enterprises on project management is limited. The purpose of this study is to explore the quantitative application of project management maturity theory in marketing of the new IT product, and to analysis the practical problems encountered in the process of marketing, and suggest a new project management model and build quantitative marketing comprehensive assessment method, in order to provide guidance to the enterprises in their research and development of new drugs and also offer reference values to some other high-tech enterprises engaged in the market promotion.The paper firstly discusses the development of project management maturity theory model and the marketing of new IT product, and then makes a comprehensive review of project management and its maturity and the theory of new IT product marketing from a project management view; thereby, synthesizing the new IT product’ life cycle and the maturity theory to explore the model of project management of marketing new IT product. Second, drawing on project management maturity model, it is expected to establish a new IT product management evaluation index system in market promotion, which lays the foundation for achieving quantitative analysis of marketing of new products and building a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Finally, for a specific project, the paper illustrates the application of project management maturity.
