Research On The Project Management Maturity Model Using In The Construction Projects

Project management has become core competence of project-oriented organizations. Projectmanagement maturity model is regarded as one of the main tools used to appraise organizations'current project management capability. Construction enterprises are typical project-orientedorganizations, so project management is very critical to construction enterprises. Building aconstruction project management maturity model suitable to China, evaluating the ConstructionProject Management Maturity of construction enterprises, planning improvement for promotingthe level of project management and strengthening the competitive ability of constructionenterprises are practical and urgent problems that have needed to be dealing with.Studies on evaluating the Construction Project Management Maturity is provided in thisdissertation, based on current theories and standards about China's Construction ProjectManagement and the results of other researches on project management maturity model both indomestic and outside, the index system of evaluating the Construction Project ManagementMaturity is founded and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method is introduced in the model.To begin with, a literature review is given to the research regarding the project managementmaturity model. It discovers that those methods aren't suitable to applying in constructionenterprises in China after comparing the current project management maturity models.Secondly, with combinations of Empirical Study and Theoretical Study, with the"The codeof construction project management by enterprises of construction industry"as its main source,the influent factors of construction project management maturity are analyzed and an indexsystem of evaluating construction project management maturity is founded.At last, considering the comprehensive and fuzzy characteristic in evaluating constructionproject management maturity, Fuzzy Comprehensive Theory is introduced to evaluate it, addingscientific ingredient to the evaluation and a case is given to test the feasibility of the modelproduced in this dissertation.
