With the continuity development and growth of market economy, and deepening social transformation over times, we have understood about the status and role of non-public economy, and at the same time, governments at all levels have started to focus on the diversity of ownership economy with harmonious and rapid progress by a bunch of related policies to encourage, stimulate and support. Therefore, more small and medium sized companies have sprung out and become the main and assignable power to support rapid economic development in our country. However, there are also some problems in small and medium sized companies in technological innovation, including lack of funding and human resource input, lack of innovational consciousness among leader groups, the risk of technological innovation and etc.These disadvantaged factors have restricted the process of the small and medium sized enterprise technology innovation activities. The appearance of emulation producing method deals with difficulties about technological innovation for small and medium sized companies on surface. The emulation products meet all requirements and needs for small and medium-sized companies with high efficiency, low price and low cost. At the same time, the characteristics of modular, specialization and standardization of emulation products mode are also the attracting points.In the private point of view, emulation-producing models are neither discriminated as poorly imitational technical contents, nor just have a fancy in the short-run profits and to develop emulation products. While, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages about emulation products is the method to have a balance between innovation and imitation. At the beginning, relying on emulation-producing model is an efficient method to process the technical ability in an enterprise, but the enterprises not changing method of making profit instead of depending on emulation products will never have long-run development. Therefore, what are the positive influence in technical innovation that emulation-producing model has made for small and medium sized companies? And how should enterprises use these advantages? While, what are the negative influences to restrict the development of enterprises? And how do they avoid these disadvantages in order to improve the ability of innovation for small and medium sized companies on the whole.In order to answer these questions, based on the current researches on emulation products as the background, firstly, analyzing about the advantages and disadvantages in emulation-producing model is the foundation to analyze the influence for small and medium sized companies in technical innovation. Secondly, based on these results, through establishing Grey Relation Analysis Model, which is based on the example about the influence of emulation cell phones produced by small and medium sized communicational companies in technical innovation, there are significant effects from emulation products.Finally, providing proposals are the aims to point out how small and medium sized companies use advantages and avoid disadvantages from emulation products in order to develop the ability of technical innovation as the whole.
