Influence Of The Change Of Industrial Structure On Potential Economic Growth

Since the reform and opening up，China has rapid economic development and earnedremarkable achievements。 But the extensive economic growth pattern makes ouremotional conflicts have become increasingly prominent，and economic development isnot sustainable。 Meanwhile，the U.S. financial crisis that began in2008affected theglobal real economy。Internal and external changes in the economy have prompted thedevelopment of the industrial structure to make the appropriate adjustments。On the onehand，the potential GDP reflects a country’s economic growth potential。It is closely relatedto a country’s long-term economic growth and short-term economic fluctuations。On theother hand，the industrial structure and economic growth has a direct correlativity。Visible,the matches of economic development trajectory and economic growth potentialdetermine the future of China’s economic trends。Study of relationship between industrialstructure and the potential economic growth rate can be fully aware of and understand theoptimization of industrial structure to maintain a sustained and healthy economic growthfor the theoretical and practical significance。This paper first reviews the relationship between the industrial structure and economicgrowth、economic growth potential。Then，based on the analysis of changes in the statusquo of China’s industrial structure，it is to measure how changes in the industrial structureof China’s from the angles of the industrial structure rationalization and advancedindustrial structure。Finally, by building metrics of the industrial structure rationalizationand advanced industrial structure，this paper applies econometric analytical methods andempirically analyzes the impact of them on China’s potential growth rate。The results showthat the rationalization of industrial structure can promote the potential economic growthrate, but not significantly advanced industrial structure promoting economic growthpotential。 Therefore, this proposal should actively promote the advanced industrialstructure based on the rationalization of the industrial structure and put forward relatedmeasures。...
