The implementation of the reform and opening-up provides policy conditions for the development of China’s export trade. After entering the 21st century, many countries attach importance to establishing good trade relations with our country. With the continuous development of our country’s trade, the attention to environmental issues is also increasing. Many scholars have studied the trade’s impact on the environment. They think that the trade growth in developing countries is mainly due to its production gathers to the pollution intensive products or industries. It usually leads to more serious environmental problems. But in recent years, the attention to environment in China is improving constantly. The production efficiency and the environmental standards have been improved. Therefore, the export development in China does not necessarily reduce the environmental quality. This paper selects the industrial waste water, industrial solid waste, industrial SO2, industrial smoke and dust as the index of environment pollution, and analyses the present situation of our export trade and environment pollution from the scale, the regional distribution and the industry distribution by using data from 2002 to 2011. It calculates the production pollution intensity, the export pollution intensity, the weighted production pollution intensity and the weighted export pollution intensity of each region and export industry. Statistical analysis shows that first, with the expansion of the export trade, the emission of industrial waste water and industrial SO2 increases slightly, but the emission of industrial solid waste and industrial smoke and dust declines substantially; second, with the enlargement of the export trade, the pollution intensity and the weighted pollution intensity are in a declining trend. Export development leads to production scale expansion and resource utilization increase. Some pollution indicators’emission is rising. It isn’t conducive to optimizing the environment. But improving technology, increasing income and strengthening environmental regulation have a positive impact on enhancing the efficient use of resources. It reduces the pollution intensity and improves the environmental quality.Refers to the general equilibrium model of environmental pollution and trade liberalization. Uses 27 provinces’and 28 export industries’panel data from 2002 to 2011. Analyzes the effect of export trade to environment pollution from district and industry through scale effect, structure effect, technique effect, income effect and policy effect. Found that the development of production scale and the rising capital labor ratio caused by trade liberalization play an important role in improving the pollution. The scale effect and the structure effect are negative. The improving technology, increasing income and strengthening environmental management policy play the important role in decreasing the pollution. Technique effect, income effect and policy effect are positive. Considering these factors, export trade generally has a positive impact on our environment.
