Steel electroslag welding is a kind of welding technology which is widely used in building construction,and mainly used in vertical connection for steel joints.As the important force structure of the reinforced concrete,the quality of the welded joints has significant impact on performance and service life of the structural safety of buildings.An important factor affecting the quality of the welded joints of steel is the clamping fixture to be used to fix and clinch the steel between the process of welding.The traditional mechanical design theory and virtual prototype technology is combined to design the welded steel fixture to be used in the vertical connection of steel,aimed to improve the quality of the welding steel joints,reduce labor intensity and impove the effiency of the welded steel fixture at the same time.The main work done as flows:(1)The design and three-dimensional modeling of the main function parts like the fixture seat、clamps、bevel gears、screw and screw nut and the accessibility parts like the clamp handle、handle jig and fixture handle are compeleted by using the powerful design and modeling capabilities of the three-dimensional software SolidWorks;the assembly of the welded steel fixture and the establishment of virtual prototype were compeleted according to a certain order of assembly and the connector and motion relations between various parts,the interference and mass of the assembly were inspected,the results show that there was no interference in the assembly and the mass is 722.2 lg by using the fixture seat as the case.(2)After finishing the whole assembly of the welded steel fixture,the virtual prototype was established.The motion simulation of virtual prototype of the welded steel fixture was compeleted,and got the trajectory of the clamp and screw nut,and the motion simulation result was saved for video.(3)The finie element stress analysis of the key parts, fixture seat and retaining clip of the welded steel fixture was compeleted under load stress by using SolidWorks Simulation,the sress figure、displacement figure and strain diagram figure were got,clearly knew the weak area of the key parts under force;In the end,at the aim of reducing the weight and manufacturing costs,under conditions of meeting strength,the key parts were optimized,the optimized results were that the weight of retaining clip was 3.75 percent lighter and the weight of fixture seat was 34.43 percent lighter.
