Jiangxi province is known as a historical and cultural tradition provinces.Academiagenerally believe that Ji’an area has its own characteristics after the extensive absorptionof surrounding radiation over the excellent compositions, and is an out-and-out Ganstyle.Because of the " Luling culture ", the Ji’an area has a number of ancestral temple andresidence and reflects its own characteristics in region. But so far, there is no architecturalcircles about Ji’an hall, the author hopes that according to study the traditional village hall,the author can know the characteristics of building shapes, and how the Lulingculture,clan law, ritual culture influence the building shapes.Based on comprehensive understanding of research status at home and abroad and onthe basis of research results, the author determine the research methods and study theancestral temple building shapes of Ji’an area by mapping the five Temple in Ji’anarea.Borrowed from the definition as " Form "," Bulid", and " Construction " Some partof the Ji’an region of ancestral lineages were analyzed, such as the plane form, facadeshape, structure, construction technology and decorative features. So the author tye toknow how the Luling culture,clan law, ritual culture influence the ancestral templebuilding shapes.As a result of the deep influence of" Luling culture " and " clan system ", theancestral temple has its remarkable characteristics in scale plane form, construction anddecoration technology. The clan structure and lineage management decides the differentlayout mode and different building plan. Luling culture decides and the simple elegantstyle.In addition, rich folk activities influence the planar pattern and function division.
