Truck-mounted cranes are self-loading machinery equipment mounted on goodstransporting trucks. Due to their convenience and high efficiency for loading-unloadingand transportation of goods, they are accepted by more and more users. With the pace ofdomestic infrastructure construction continues to accelerate, the truck mounted craneused for lifting and transportation, in the construction mechanical engineering fieldbecomes more and more important, while the lifting capacity, safety requirements arealso getting higher and higher. This paper mainly researches on the static structural analysis of the large-tonnageZ-CRANES.ANSYS software is used for the static analysis of the whole structure, andsome results such as displacement, equivalent stress are extracted from the analysis result, which can be used to determine whether the design meets the strength and rigidity require-ments. These results provide a theoretical basis for the crane structure modification. Inaddition, the natural frequencies and mode shapes and two easily caused resonancefrequencies were got by making the modal and harmonic response analysis. The telescopic boom of the crane is the main bearing member, and its strength, rigidity directly affects its performance. In this paper, parametric driven finite elementmode for the telescopic boom of the truck-mounted crane has been established using theAPDL language of a commercial software ANSYS. Analysis performed using the modelcan provide quite accurate information such as static strength, rigidity and total weight ofthe boom structure. Optimization analysis has been performed to obtain the optimalgeometric shape parameters of the cross-sections and to minimize the weight of the boomusing the parametric finite element model established. Finally, the software of finite element structural analysis and optimization ofcompon-ent parameters is developed for the crane. With the help of this software, designers can improve product quality, and shorten the development cycle, meanwhilereduce the cost.
