Hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission is a new style oftransmission device which combines the high efficiency by mechanical transmissionand continuously variable ratio by hydrostatic transmission. Hydro-mechanicalcontinuously variable transmission based on this new style of transmission device cansignificantly improve the power performance, fuel economy and automation level ofvehicle. Hydro-mechanical differential turning mechanism based on this new theorycan greatly improve the turning performance of crawler vehicle. The tests on HMCVTand hydro-mechanical differential turning mechanism have very importantsignificance in the process of the development of new transmission device, testing andfault diagnosis, and the bench test provides a method and way for test of vehicletransmission. This article puts forward the performance evaluation method of these twotransmission devices based the analysis of operating principle of HMCVT and hydro-mechanical differential turning mechanism. It also establishes the experimentalmethods based on national vehicle drive unit test standard and characteristic ofhydraulic-mechanical drive unit. In combination with bench test content, this articlehas carried on the overall design of the vehicle integrated transmission test benchwhich includes test scheme design, the choice of power device and loading device, testmatch between various components. It designs the function and the overall scheme oftest bench measurement and control system, and the measuring and controllingparameters of the hydraulic-mechanical drive unit are analyzed. It also chooses thehardware of the measurement and control system. Based on the virtual instrumenttechnology, the test measurement and control system software framework is designed. The function of each module is designed. The test bench has carried on the HMCVTcharacteristic test and the hydro-mechanical differential turning mechanism steering characteristic test, and the test results show that this test bench can meet the HMCVTand hydro-mechanical differential turning mechanism performance test requirements.
