In recent years, the rapid development of global logistics transportation hasbrought unprecedented challenge and opportunity to port logistics. It would be aneconomical and realistic way for ports construction of our country to adoptcomprehensive terminals that can operate both containers and general cargos in thefuture, considering the diverse demand of market during transportation, thecontinuing increase of terminal throughput, the assurance of efficient operation ofports logistics operation system, as well as the developing trend of global logisticstransportation. Faced with the increasing cargo throughput of ports, how to projectport logistics system more reasonably, so that the operation capacity would be exertedto the utmost extent, is the most urgent problem to be solved at present. It isimperative and of great importance to perform research in this respect. With thesimulation platform of EM-plant and example of Port of Chongqing, this paperfurther analyzed the logistics system, which makes our project research theoreticaland realistic. This thesis mainly consists of:(1). Elaborated the background and significance of project research, introducedthe simulation modeling theory of discrete events. Analyzed systematically theresearch status related to simulation modeling techniques of port logistics system athome and abroad, and specified the main research contents of this thesis.(2). Introduced the basic parts of comprehensive terminals, characteristics andlayout rules of terminals, import and export operation procedure. Based on this,analyzed the handling technology system of comprehensive terminals and the sourceof terminal logistics system transportation flow Finally, presented property evaluationindex of terminal logistics system.(3). Elaborate the characteristics, the basic modeling elements and modelingsteps of the software EM-plant. Selectively analyzed the simulation strategy andterminal random event variable during the simulation, which prepared for simulationanalysis of comprehensive terminals logistics system.(4). With an example of a comprehensive terminal, simulate the comprehensive terminal under the circumstance of EM-plant, combining the real parameters of theterminal and simulation object. Terminal facility and equipment are simplifiedreasonably. By simulating the four main modules of load and discharge vessel,collecting and distributing, yard road and property statistics parameters, the dynamicprocess of ship mooring, quay crane handling operation, container truck horizontaltransportation and yard operation of terminal logistics system are simulated. Suchproperty evaluation index as terminal throughput, berth use ratio, water-gatetrafficability, traffic flow of main roads in the port are output. Conclusion is drawn byanalyzing the corresponding results.
