As an immediate cause of safety accidents, construction workers’ unsafe behavior iscommon on construction site, which results in construction safety accidents with a highrate in these years. Effective countermeasures reducing workers’ unsafe behavior istherefore an urgent need for construction safety management department.Workers’ intentional unsafe behavior on construction site was the study focus whiletheir unsafe behavior was divided into intentional and unintentional ones. A behaviorphysiology prospective was adopted to establish an unsafe behavioral effective factorsmodel including seven variables, such as risk perception、managers affect、self-efficacy、past behavior, etc. It was at72.1%that the explanatory power of the model to workers’intentional unsafe behavior reached through questionnaire survey and regression analysis, according to which control measures for workers’ unsafe behavior on construction sitewas put forward. The efforts include:(1) According to the root cause of unsafe behavior, workers’unsafe behavior was divided into intentional and unintentional ones, the concept andreason of which was analyzed.(2) The famous theory of planned behavior in behavioralpsychology, the influence mechanism of the past behavior and social cognitive theorywere adopted to explore the mechanism of workers’ intentional unsafe behavior; Basedon the mechanism, effective factors and reason of workers’ unsafe behavior wasidentified and an effective factors model of intentional unsafe behavior was developed.(3)The model was empirically tested by questionnaire survey. The questionnaire technologyavoiding bias was applied to design the on-site construction workers’ unsafe behaviorquestionnaire, and SPSS17.0statistical software was used for data analysis, which turnedout that the model can well explain and predict workers’ intentional unsafe behavior.(4)Based on the literature review and empirical research, effective managementcountermeasures for the two types of workers’ unsafe behavior were proposed, which is productive to modify and correct construction workers’ unsafe behavior, and activecontrol of workers’ unsafe behavior and improvement of their safety consciousness istherefore realized.
