As market competition becomes more intense, in order to meet the customers’ ever-changing demands, many enterprises’ production mode has been gradually changed from inventory-oriented to customers’ order-oriented. In this case, according to the needs of the market, how to dynamically adjust production, and make sure the products to be delivered on time to meet the demand of customer sales and inventory, has become an important factor affecting survival and development of enterprises. As a result, more and more enterprises choose to use information management system.Based on the low efficiency problem of case metal processing enterprises, the thesis puts forward a program of manufacturing execution system on metal sheet processing,includes:task determine, plate cutting, production scheduling, data acquisition, finished packing and all other production-related jobs, which realizes the plate cutting, production scheduling, finished packing automation, the real-time process control of workshop production, the whole production process information transparency, reach the request of informationization of whole production process, while building the case enterprise’ overall structure on metal sheet processing of MES system. It studies the production of integrated solutions on the system and algorithms design of plate cutting and 3D packing module.Detailed analysis and design of system database is presented, as well as detailed design of the main system function modules, focuses on study the following questions:(1) The algorithm design of plate cutting. By adopting a hybrid heuristic algorithm for the design of plate cutting algorithm, a filling heuristic algorithm to generate a strip is used.Then a genetic algorithm to optimize the rectangular products and plate’ sort is used. The combination of the two algorithms helps to make the best use of the raw materials.(2) The real-time data collection in the workshop production activities. For the hard problems of production data real-time acquisition and production process real-time control,the thesis proposes a program which uses the bar code technology for data acquisition, and studies the communication ways and data acquisition process of the data acquisition devices.(3) The automatic scheduling of the workshop production plans. Based on the customers’ orders and the production plans of information generating workshop, dynamic max&min algorithm is adopted to automatically arrange the processing equipment, the starting time, the finishing time, the production plans of each process.(4) The research on product packing algorithm. Optimization algorithm with multi constraint conditions is used for automatic arrangement of the product packing. A genetic algorithm for the sequence and presentation way of the plate is used by the system. A heuristic algorithm is carried out to reasonably arrange the location of each plate in the boxand find out the wooden box volume, loading order and its stability condition to make the best use of the wooden case space.At present, this system has been applied in enterprises, which significantly improved their management efficiency and the ability to delivery on-time within the requirements of good quality and enough quantity. This good application can also provide a reference of MES design for other metal processing enterprises.
