Formula SAE China (FSC) provide a platform for exchange and self-creation ofstudents in the school, and reserves a lot of highly qualified personnel for theautomotive industry. In recent years as more and more people attach importance toenergy conservation and environmental protection problems, countries began to developelectric cars, in order to promote the development of new energy vehicles, FSC add pureelectric equation tournament for the first time in2013. In this paper, we chose theelectric formula car E04of HFUT as the research object, for the purpose of attend theFSC, the power system of the car is designed and the electronic differential control isstudied.Based on the characteristics of the Formula Student competition, the performance ofthe power system components were analyzed to finish the selection and arrangement ofthe drive system. Vehicle performance indicators were established reference to domesticand abroad racing parameters, according to the indicators it designes the motor, batteryand transmission ratio; and in accordance with the contest rules and handling safetyrequirements,it designes the overall layout of the formula car.The paper establishes a racing simulation model and the track conditions in AVLCRUISE simulation software. The simulation analysis was carried out on the carperformance and fuel economy index, through simulation experiment, proves therationality of the model matching. According to the competition project requirementsand related testing standard, real vehicle test was carried out on the car, the real vehicledata compared with the simulation results, further demonstrate the validity of the powersystem design, the reasons for the error of the test results and simulation results areanalyzed.The paper analyzes the difference between traditional differential control andelectronic differential control. To improve the way of driving to rear-wheel two-motordrive.Based on speed control method is put forward, the car turning model was set upin Matlab/Simulink, the simulation analysis of the driving wheel speed trend along withthe change ofAngle and speed, provides a certain reference for further research.
