Society is in progress, Economy is in expanding. The lorry-mounted crane isplaying a more and more important role in the construction of our town. AT the sametime, it has a trend to get more tonnage and high performance. Every company investsmore capital in the researching of the lorry-mounted crane each year and more andmore designer have focused on the ability of resist tipping to enhance the markercompetitiveness.This paper is based on the chassis of lorry-mounted crane. I got the basicknowledge about the chassis of lorry-mounted crane from the manufacture and readsome paper to get the method of simulating the rigid of the chassis in the preliminarywork.The rigid leg of chassis and tires work together to make the vehicle on the floor,and form a system which mixes up rigid and elastic when the vehicle works. So therigid of chassis has a great influence on the stability of the lorry-mounted crane. Butthe traditional stability analysis method of the lorry-mounted crane has lessconsideration to the vertical deformation, which has influence on distribution of theforce and the number of supporting points. The introduction of the software of thefinite element analysis, make this complex problem to easy and reduce the calculatedamount of theory. In this paper, I combine the test of chassis with the ANSYS andsimulate the rigid of the chassis, get the performance table of load which is controlledby the stability.In this paper, I use displacement sensor and pressure sensor test5different kindsof lorry-mounted crane by DH5908wireless dynamic test system. I get the pressure ofthe tires and the displacement when the lorry-mounted crane works in differentworking condition. Each group of result could form a curve, obtain the equation of thecure and prepare for the next step which is simulating the rigid of the chassis.Next, I do some research on the method of parametric model of lorry-mountedcrane and build the parametric model, achieve the parametric function successfully. Itincluded the parameterization of overall dimension, the parameterization of the length of leg, the parameterization of the section of leg and so on. Then, I write the programwhich could check the ability of resist tipping of the different lorry-mounted crane bythe language of APDL in ANSYS. Build the5kinds of chassis basic on theparametric model. Compare with the result of test, modify the mass of chassis, makesure the force and displacement of the tire accurately. Using the real section of the legto make sure the mass of model is equal with the vehicle. Choose the appropriateelement to simulate the tries and condition of the leg getting off the floor. in ANSYSby researching the modeling method.Finally, I write the calculative program which is the stability controls the loadunder the all conditions and get the result of the performance. Compare it withprimary result, get the influence of ability of resist tipping by the rigid of the chassis,and form the new performance table.
