Steel cord conveyor belt is the most representative high-strength conveyor belt, suitable for long-distance, large capacity, high speed modern transportation needs. The whole conveyor belt is connected by the way of vulcanization treatment, so each belt has at least one splice. Splice is the weakest link in conveyor system, because its strength is lower than the rated strength of the conveyor. The loss caused by belt conveyor stagnation which is resulted from the damage of steel cord splices is often larger than installing funds.In addition, improving the fatigue strength of splices is beneficial to reduce the belt’s safety coefficient, which is of great significance in reducing the production cost.Firstly, it elaborates the five main factors effecting the splice’s fatigue strength and analyze the three factors related to the conveyor belt itself in detail. Considering the performance parameters appeared in the influencing factors, we design the splice fatigue strength test-bed, describes the basic function of the test-bed and its structures.This test-bed can adjust the tension’s variable range.It can also test the tension size during operation process and record the stress-number of cycles. And the speed value of the belt can be detected by the test-bed.The working pressure and oil temperature of the hydraulic system are detected at the same time.For Motor frequency control system and hydraulic pressure synchronization drive system, adopting Fuzzy-PID control strategy to realize their modeling and simulation, in the case of having no accurate system model, it can realize accurate control. Meanwhile, compared with the traditional PID control strategy, pointing out the different between the two strategy.The control system of the test-bed is based on S7300.By analyzing the system’s function,using a reasonable choice to set the main configuration of the PLC. And using STEP7to realize the programming control of the system.The communication between PLC and HMI is realized by configuration software Wince flexible. Detailed experimental methods are made according to the national standards on parameters collecting of the rubber conveyor belt. Sample producing, dynamic load test, static load test, evaluation of results are discussed in detail in the description.
