Since 21 st Century, there is a sustainable and rapid development in the construction industry of our country. The added value of the construction continues increase yearly, and the position and function of construction industry are playing an increasingly important role in China national economy. In recent years, the newly-commenced projects area growth is accelerated, and the scale and scope of projects are constantly expanding, which push the construction industry into an unprecedented boom period. However, there are serious safety problem in the field of building construction, since the casualties occurred during the period of project construction keeps high. With the low safety awareness and self–protection consciousness of construction industry staff, and also problems and shortages during supervision in oversight authority, which remains more critical problem in construction industry of our country though laws and regulations relevant safety production have been issued earlier, there remains more critical problem.The paper introduces the status of construction safety management at home and abroad, and points out the existing problems and their causes in our country through comparing and analyzing the situations. Constructing safety management evaluation index system of construction project and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on G1 weighting method, which is applied to the comprehensive evaluation of some construction project in Beijing. Establishing project life cycle system and reliability allocation model based on reliability theory, which is applied to the above mentioned project reliability control. The production system includes people, things and the environment, and the production process includes decision stage, preparation stage, construction stage, acceptance and maintenance stage. The paper puts forward the suggestions and countermeasures about safety management of construction project from two perspective—production system and production process, which provide reference for the practice of safety management of construction project.The research is based on the existing safety management problems of construction project in our country, which is benefit to prevention actively and reduction the occurrence of safety accidents. The research findings have realistic directive significance to the safety management of construction project.
