Production Management System Of Engine Assembly Based On Datamatrix Codes

It is an important task to manage the production locale with information technology for automobile industry. Many automobile manufacturers have implemented ERP system which can administrate the comprehensive business process. However, the ERP system can not control the production locale currently. ERP can not give satisfying answers to such problems as how to know the status the production line in real time; how to make production schedule in process; how to react to the device and quality failure quickly, etc. The situation leads the disjunction between planing, scheduling, implementation and feedback And the ERP system can not control the product quality. So, it is necessary to combine the advanced production device and software and implement management information system in production locale.Data Matrix Code is wildly used in our daily life for its strong ability to resist contamination and distortion. Storage density of DM Code is larger than other code. The preprocessing technology and correction method are the basic skill in the application of QR Code in management system.In this paper, I select the engine assembly line of an engine company for the study, with the focus on the specific demands of the engine production process, such as work order management, workplace scheduling, process control and quality management. Using a number of techniques such as QR Code, and after studying the present image processing and correction techniques, I put forward the QR Code image correction algorithm based on the convex hull operation, which can improve identification efficiency and therefore is of great prcatical value.In this paper I design and set up a production management system based on Data Matrix. The system, with the function of planning and scheduling, production control, quality management, statistical query an so on, can realize make to order production, identify every single part on the production line, collect basic production data, and finally realize an effective tracking and management for the production line.This system also can link ERP system and CRM system, and then the realization of the information management to the entire production and assembly process will come true.
