With the development of social economy and the rising of people’s living standards, The automobile has become an important means of transportation in people’s daily life. Automobile brings a great deal of convenience to our daily life, at the same time, it consume large oil energy and cause some harm on the environment, Hampering the sustainable development of human society. Pure electric vehicles with energy-saving, pollution-free, high efficiency, etc. It becomes an development direction of automobile industry, can effectively solve the problem of energy shortage and environmental pollution.This paper study the low speed motor drive control system of pure electric vehicle, DC series motor as control object. Developing a rated voltage 48 V, output current 120A(Lasts 1 hour), the maximum output power 20 k W DC series motor controller. This paper define the requirements of motor drive control system according to the actual requirement of pure electric vehicle. on the basis, The DC series motor control system is general designed. Research on the power module topology and chopper topology of control system, its circuit is designed. The power switching device controller selection basis is gived, and ultimately use the MOSFET as power device of the controller. STM32F103RBT6 selected as as micro controller of control system, and control circuit of the control system is designed. According to the requirements of the actual operation of the electric vehicle, gives the flow chart of the whole motor drive control system software. The underlying function module software of motor drive control system is designed, In view of the overall software architecture of the controller. On this basis, the upper control strategy of controller was designed. Making the Pure electric vehicle has a good start moving, speed, parking and other functions. The fault detection and treatment strategy of controller was designed, to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Pure electric vehicle. Through joint testing and validation of the control system’s software, hardware, and the results show that the controller can satisfy the design requirements.
