Nowadays, because of hybrid and fuel cost is expensive, so the main city bus electric passenger cars got more the favor of professionals. Need the vehicle controller and electric buses for each control system for centralized management, to ensure the real-time communication and optimization of energy management, to ensure the running reliability and safety of electric buses.In this paper to design the controller of electric passenger vehicle driven by switched reluctance motor.The first, tells the story of the development of electric bus and ECU development present situation. Considering this topic based on switched reluctance motor drive, thus analyze the electric bus power system parameters and operating characteristics, especially the open magnetic resistance motor characteristics test and meet the requirements of design of experiment.Secondly, according to the power system parameters, the working condition of vehicle status and driver’s intentions made the vehicle control strategy, draw flow chart of the strategy, to ensure the safe and stable operation of electric buses, and simulated in the Advisor, the simulation result, strategy is feasible. Comprehensive all kinds of single chip microcomputer in the control strategy under the premise of performance and criteria selected master control chip, combining with practical parameters design of the control module, complete vehicle controller hardware design.Finally, according to the strategy process, basic program is designed to test the controller and the debugging, various modules available. And motor controller is designed by means of standard protocol of the communication protocol and connected to the motor controller, CAN communication, through debugging communication is normal, CAN run for loading.
