In recent years, Since the gas shortage and the opening of the gas market lead to frequent fluctuations in gas prices, both energy companies and users all want to use a more flexible and accurate gas pricing. At the same time the rapid development of gas metering technology and metering equipment, coupled with differences over the use and development of the domestic gas situation, so diaphragm gas meter, pulse flowmeter, as well as various flow totalizer long-term coexistence in our country.Causing such a phenomenon: While the main function of the gas meter is almost the same, but because of the different measurement methods, the gas meter manufacturing companies still need to develop different gas meter controller for users’ different measurement needs.In this paper, in order to solve this situation, I has developed a intelligent remote gas meter controller which can be adapted to a variety of metering device. The main contents of this design are as follows:1. The controller system consists of three modules: a independent metering adapter module which called metering plate, a GPRS remote communication plate to achieve remote communication functions, and a main control plate which is responsible for the control of public function blocks. The conventional diaphragm metering, pulse flowmeter and flow totalizer measurement circuit is integrated into the metering plate, so that it can fit a variety of metering equipment.2. In the system software development, I designed a smart gas meter controller modules embedded underlying program, with hardware to achieve a stable gas meter controller.3. Using Modbus communication protocol between the metering plate and themain control plate. Between the controller and the remote management center for remote communication via GPRS networks. Based on the characteristics of gas meter function requirements and each module performance, I designed the communication protocol between the main control plate and the metering plate, and the communication protocol between the controller and the backstage management center,to achieve a unified system of harmonization.Dissertation also do some integration test on the entire gas meter controller, test results show that the system hardware and software work together to achieve the adaptation of the gas meter multi-measurement methods. Finally, the paper summarizes the full text, and analyzes the system imperfections, prospects for the subsequent design.
