Transformer is the most important equipment in substation. Safe and reliable operation of transformer can directly affect the safe operation of the substation, and even affect the safe operation of power grid. Online transformer monitoring system is used to monitor the operation of the transformer in real time. Through the analysis of the electrical information during operation, it provides basis for the use and the overhaul of the transformers.In the traditional substation, the main means of communication between equipment is serial communication. Due to low transmission rate, per unit time can transmit the content under serial is limited, so the requirement of communication message content as simple as possible, only the necessary content should be transmitted.In the traditional substation, because of the need for a limited amount of data communication, serial communication mode can well meet the requirement of communication. However, with the development of the substation is put forward, especially the needs of online monitoring of the new station, the amount of communication data is greatly improved, the original way of serial communication is very difficult to meet the requirements, and is gradually replaced by the Ethernet communication mode. Under this background, based on the existing online transformer monitoring system, a multi port network communication module is designed and implemented to meet the requirements of intelligent substation on data communication. The main work is as follows:1) Analysis for network communication needs of online transformer monitoring system is provided.. Two design schemes of multi ports network communication module are compared. The one is based on the operating system, and the other is based on communication protocol chip.2) A hardware platform solution for multiple ports network communication module is proposed, which is based on Freescale MPC8313 chip and Intel 82541ER Ethernet controller. Then, based on VxWorks embedded real-time operating system, the driver of multi port network communication module is designed. Finally, based on the existing online monitoring system of transformer, IEC61850 server application is designed and implemented to verify the availability of multi port network communication module.3) The implementation of the multi port network communication module is presented in detail. First of all, the implementation of the driver for eTSEC (enhanced Triple Speed Ethernet Controller) and 82541ER Ethernet controller is introduced. Then, the implementation of IEC 61850 server application based on the existing transformer online monitoring system is proposed, which includes porting the MMS-EASE Lite protocol stack_to VxWorks operating system, data modeling the online transformer monitoring system in accordance with IEC 61850, and data mapping between the data processing platform in the online transformer monitoring system and the data module in IEC 61850 server application.4) The IEC 61850 server application is tested, and the analysis of the test result is provided, which verify the availability of the multi port network communication module.
