Because of rapid urbanization in China, architecture and construction industry has been developing at an unprecedented rate. The crazy running projects led to some problems, for example, there are not many outstanding works of urban development and design in China, building and construction quality is not good, and overall building quality is not acceptable. There exist extensive and formalized trends in the design industry, architect’s professional service could not reach international standards, and lack of meticulous of the whole process when designing. Industry problems impact on architectural education. It is lack of cultivation for technology literacy in architectural education, graduated students do not have professional construction ability, and disconnection exists between education and engineering practice. All of these facts further affecting the quality of their work, and becomes a vicious cycle.This article analysis exist problems of architectural design industry; find out the problems from architectural education; using cases from Changzhou Institute of technology where the author works in to analysis current training programs, employers, graduated students and undergraduate students to try to find out obvious problems of education programs. Then surveys training programs from the other six universities, excellent education features from overseas education institutions, architects capacity on proposed education requirements and new of requirements of Architecture Professional specification to deduce the reform for further education in terms of the curriculum, course structure, course organization and other aspects of professional ability training program. At last, a completed new training program will be provided.
