With the rapid development of electrified railway, safe transportation requires higher and higher for power supply, the catenary in traction power supply runs in special,complex and multivariate physical environment. Ampacity in power supply is big and load often fast changes.Current shock is heavy and the relationship between pantograph and catenary which take current and receive current is harsh, which make all kinds of fault and accident happened in catenary inevitably. In order to prevent heating and temperature rise of the electric connecting clamp, WIA-PA networks technology is applied in monitoring of catenary for the first time, and the paper proposes a temperature monitoring system for catenary electric connecting clamp based on WIA-PA networks.,which have features of high measurement precision, low power consumption and low cost.According to the characteristics and requirements of temperature monitoring system for the electric connecting clamp, three key aspects from temperature measurement technology,wireless networks communication technology and power technology are compared and chosen, and then overall scheme about the temperature monitoring system for the electricity connecting clamp is proposed. Monitoring node install at the test field. Temperature data are send to the gateway equipment through WIA-PA networks after detecting temperature rise.The user who use host computer can query, retrieve, and monitor alarm for all electric connecting clamp of temperature information.The paper designs hardware and software,and hardware design adopts the modular design scheme, which includes three aspects: temperature detection module, MCU processing module and communication module, and then the characteristics and interface of the gateway equipment is introduced. On software, flow chart of the main program and interrupt response is draw, and setting low-power of MCU and function of owned ADC10 is introduced. The program design of the whole monitoring node are showed. Monitoring software of host computer is designed by ForceControl SCADA software.Finally, the gateway equipment and the communication module is configured, and the monitoring networks are formed. The system is tested gradually, and then the test results is analyzed simply. Online function test is realized, which verify the accuracy and feasibility of the monitoring system and achieve the expected goal.
