Research On The Development Of Strategic Emerging Industries In Dalian

Nowadays, with the rapid development of new technologies and new industries,the global world is brewing a new round of industrial revolution. Emerging industriesare becoming an important force to lead the future economic life and socialdevelopment. The Chinese “National Economic and Social Development TwelfthFive-Year Plan" proposed that we should foster the development of strategicemerging industries to become pilot and pillar industries. During the visit to LiaoningProvince, General Secretary Xi Jinping said that Dalian should unswervingly take theroad of innovation-driven development and focus on building "industrial structureoptimization pilot areas" and "economic and social development of the first area."The2013Central Economic Work Conference also proposed that in the future Chinashould vigorously develop strategic emerging industries. To do it well has a decisivesignificance for speeding up the upgrading of traditional regional industrial structureand accelerating the adjustment of industrial structure, and finally, it will be good forachieving a sound and rapid economic development in Dalian,Focusing on the actual situation of Dalian, this paper takes strategic emergingindustries for the study and mainly researches those in Dalian. This article is totallydivided into six parts. The first part is introduction, describing the background,meaning, content, and research methods. The second part makes a general descriptionof the strategic emerging industries. The third part describes the characteristics andexperience of the development of strategic emerging industries abroad. The fourthpart is about the current situation of Chinese strategic emerging industries, especiallythose in the coastal open cities and parts of some cities in Liaoning province. Thefifth part makes an evaluation analysis of the development of strategic emergingindustries in Dalian. And the sixth part discusses the development orientation and thetrain of thought of strategic emerging industries in the future in Dalian.This paper mainly does a research about the strategic emerging industries inDalian. It is designed with the hope that Dalian could firmly grasp the dualopportunities, one of which is promoting the northeast old industrial base and theother is developing and opening the Liaoning coastal economic belt. Making full useof innovation can help Dalian plays the leading role of revitalizing. Also, the researchhas some reference value for other areas with the same situation like Dalian.
