IT distribution channels are a indispensable component of the IT hardware supply chain. Previous literature analyzes the core competence of successful corporations, but fails to take note of IT hardware distribution businesses. Competition in the IT industry is dynamic. This thesis paper analyzes core competence establishment in the IT hardware distribution industry in a dynamic competitive environment, and suggests strategies that may maintain corporate dominance in dynamic competition.This thesis paper applies the Five Forces Model, SWOT analysis, ECSRE and dynamic competition theory in a case study of Joint Harvest, analyzes the current competitive environment and future trends in the Chinese market, and illustrates the significance of core competence establishment in the IT distribution business. |
