Recruiting and Personnel Retention plays more and more role in human recourses management nowadays. The essay takes Bosch and Siemens home appliance (BSH) as example and describes current status in recruiting and retention:Hiring becomes more difficult and fluctuation rate is rising every year. Recruiting and retention is dependent on each other, a lack of recruiting system and retention measures, no whole or different policies to retain staff are problems. The essay will introduce these two functions and divided into 5 chapters.The essay takes BSH as research example. At first, it takes in general to describe the background, problems and research ways. Then it describes company basic information and current status in recruiting and retention function. Though BSH had taken some measure to support business development, still the limits become tighter due to fierce competition in open market. Based on current challenges, the essay will analyze the current problem in theoretical and practical way, and why it exists. The fourth chapter rises up some relevant measures and introduces some tools to avoid current problem, giving some tools and training for hiring managers. In terms of retention, setting up a whole and fair policy for all employees based on market level is to keep staff competitive. At last, the essay reaches a final conclusion, also points some thinking for the industry and HR management function.Due to the fast development of BSH. Recruiting and retention needs to change according to the company requirement to support constant business development. BSH has taken some measures such as STAR interview skill, Position Evaluation from advanced companies.
