China’s private enterprises have entered a period of rapid development since ourcountry’s reform and opening up. Building a harmonious and stable labor relation inprivate enterprises may directly impact on the enterprise’s prospect and destiny.Nowadays, the society and government pay more and more attention to the laborrelations in private enterprises. The exploration and research about the labor relationsare also becoming more and more. Based on the early years from1949to1952, thispaper reviews and combs the labor relations’ trend. Then by analyzing the internalcauses and influences of the trend, the paper aims at providing some practicalreferences for constructing the new harmonious labor relations of contemporary Chinaunder the background of socialist market economy.In this paper, I adopt the method of economics and some knowledge of historyand sociology to study the labor relations with the method of cross-disciplinary.This text is divided into four parts to describe the labor relations’ trend with the timeclue. Firstly, the paper traces the private enterprises’ labor relations of early days.Then the change of labor relations is analyzed after the unified movement of financeand economics. Thirdly, the text shows the labor relations’ deterioration during theperiod of "five antis" movement. Lastly, the labor relations eventually died in theprocess of the socialist transformation. By combing the labor relations in privateenterprises during the early years from1949to1952, the text analyzes the influenceof the government’s policy on labor relations. Finally the paper puts forward someopinions under the condition of socialist market economy. In order to promote thedevelopment of the non-public enterprises’ labor relations in our country, thegovernment needs to give full play to their subject positions in adjusting laborrelations, and introduce the labor bargaining and collective contract timely withChina’s national conditions as the starting point. Besides, the government should alsoimprove or reform the social security system of our country in time, and mobilize thestrength of the whole society to construct a socialist harmonious labor relation.
