Since China’s reform and opening up, with the growing of China’s international statusand international influence, China’s tourism industry continues to flourish. The developmentof tourism inspired the demand of the companies for the international talents with highqualities, and at the same time put forward higher request to the tourism talents’ cultivation ofour country. At present, the colleges and universities which open up majors related withtourism have already made the positive exploration and got good grades on the issue ofinternational talents training mode, it is important to note that the cultivation of talent is notlimited only in colleges and universities, the tourism enterprise’s training the employees alsobelongs to part of the cultivation of talents. In recent years, overseas researches oncompetency tend to be more mature and stable, while the domestic researches on this topic aredeveloping quickly and more and more enterprises are using the theory of competency tomeasure their staff’s performance. We found that some index of competency characteristics intourism plays a very important role in all kinds of work, but it is still not enough, or it has notbeen even involved in the usual training mode for the competency qualities cultivationaccording to the survey of the tourism professionals and experts. Therefore, under thebackground of global tourism, it is theoretically and practically significant to the existingcommon tourism personnel training mode by building a competency model for internationaltourism talents. During the process of thesis writing, the author also encountered manyproblems difficult to deal with, and there are also many problems need to be solved andiscussed in this paper.In the process of writing of this paper, the writer used literature method, survey method,qualitative analysis method, and the methods of questionnaire investigation. Through theliterature method, the writer researched and concluded research the articles based on thecompetency of the internationalization of tourism personnel training mode both at home andabroad, and discussed the content of the internationalization of tourism personnel trainingmode based on competency on this basis; with the survey method, the writer mainlyinvestigated the present situation of talents-cultivating in a few professional tourismmanagement (department) of colleges and universities in China; by using qualitative analysis method, the writer analyzed different types of tourism professional college’s achievementsand existing problems and discussed the development of the internationalization of tourismpersonnel training strategy in our country, and the writer mentioned that we should payattention to the related investigation and questionnaire summarized after tourism talentsshould possess the competence quality of training in the process of internationalization oftourism personnel training.This thesis is divided into five parts: the first part, introduction. It mainly elaborated thisarticle’s research background, purpose and significance of topics, and the status quote of theresearch on this subject both at home and abroad, and the research methods were also simplydescribed. The second part, the writer defined the concept of the related to this topic anddiscussed relevant theories by consulting a large number of data. It provided a theoreticalbasis for the article about international tourism talents cultivation mode and competencymodel and its relevant concepts and theory. The third part, the writer collected some dataabout tourism colleges, graduate employment and other related data, the internationalizationof tourism talents cultivation, and the paper analyzed the present situation of the preliminarysummary the characteristics of international tourism talents training pattern in China. Thefourth part, it built international tourism talents competency model and evaluated it based onmore than the middle class graduates of tourism, tourist class enterprise leadership andtourism colleges, associate professor title above expert interviews and questionnaires,according to the analysis of the data. The fifth part, conclusion and prospect. This papersummarizes the main viewpoints of the statement, and puts forward the problems in theresearch of this thesis and research prospects.
