Study On Uncertainty Of Knowledge Collaboration In The Industry-University-Research Frame

With the development of society and the coming of the knowledge economy era,knowledge is playing an increasingly important role in the organization. As a cross-organizational phenomenon, Industry-University-Research(IUR)’s motivation is to share knowledge. Knowledge Collaboration is an effective way to promote the efficient flow of knowledge among entities in the IUR Collaborative Innovation. So, it is very important to study on uncertainty of Knowledge Collaboration in IUR Collaborative Innovation.Firstly, this paper defines the connotation of Knowledge Collaboration, analyzes the process of Knowledge Collaboration from the trigger stage, preparation stage, operational stage, termination stage, and defines subtasks in every stage. Then the model of Knowledge Collaboration will be made.Secondly, four uncertainties which are the market stability, the technological innovative ability, the ability of entities’ knowledge coordination and the stability of collaborative relationship among entities that affect the process of the IUR knowledge collaboration are summarized when consider the point of the body, object, medium and environment and the four stages in the knowledge collaboration. And connotation of the four uncertainties is defined as well.At last, in the IUR Frame the GERT is built and the GERT diagrammatic figure is created and simplified based on the computability and reality of the data. And the efficiently of the four uncertainties which are the market stability, the technological innovative ability, the ability of entities’ knowledge coordination and the stability of collaborative relationship among entities is verified. Important rules of the GERT are proved to correspond to the practical process of the IUR knowledge collaboration. The suggestion is proposed based on the GERT which encouraged the customers to participate in the process of the IUR knowledge collaboration to reduce the uncertainty.
