At Jingtai irrigation area, in order to select out the suitable lycium variety for different site conditions, appropriate fertilization ratio for adult lycium cultivation, we studied the phenology and fruit quality of 10 introduced lycium varieties under the three sites(irrigating agricultural land, irrigating saline-alkali land, and rain fed dry sand land), the growth and yield performance of young lycium under different ratios of N, P, K fertilizers, the fertilization effect on adult lycium under different soil formulation; whch will provide some practical basis for the construction of lycium garden. The main conclusions are as follows:1) Under different sites, the fruits nutritional value for introduced 10 lycium varieties, Ningxia lycium number 5 was the best, which could be preferrentially planted for the arid and semi-arid sands area in central Gansu province; lycium with flat fruits and Mongolia lycium number 1 was better, which could be planted for the arid and semi-arid arid sands in the central Gansu province;2) Under different ratios of N, P, K fertilization, for the young lycium that has been continuously fertilized three years, very little lycium varieties showed reproductive growth, most of lycium varieties showed vegetative growth; Ningxia lycium No.5, lycium with flat fruit and Meng lycium No.1 gained higher yield, the best ratio of NPK fertilization was 12gN+3gP+1.5gK for per lycium, annual fertilization amount was 48gN+12gP+6gK; When planted in the built gardens, the local lycium barbarum variety Ningxia lycium No.1 should be the pollinate tree.3) According to the results of adult lycium field fertilization, lycium barbarum leaf nitrogen content gradually increased with the increasing of N fertilization; lycium barbarum fruit yield was the highest under P 417 g + K 313 g for per lyceum conditions.More NPK fertilizer should be applied at the period of lycium barbarum fruit ripening(from June to Septembe), after fruit matured(October), N fertilizer should be reduced and P fertilizer should be added. As for Lycium barbarum field cultivation, the annual fertilizer ratio was carbamide 217g+superphosphate 417g+potassium sulphate 313 g for per plant.4) For adult lycium barbarum, the order of fertilizer effects on yield was N > K>P, Fe > B > Zn > Mo, the best fertilizer ratio was N1P2K3Fe1Zn2Mo2B1; while the order of Fertilizers influenced the quality of adult lycium barbarum was Fe > B >Zn > Mo, the best fertilization ratio was N3P2K3Fe1Zn2Mo1B1. The best fertilization ratio was N3P2K3Fe1Zn2Mo1B1 in the field. The best microelement fertilization was 10 g Zn per plant.5) In Demonstration Garden, the dried fruit yield of lycium barbarum was 395 kg per acre, it increased about 31.7% compared with average yield of 300 kg of lycium barbarum garden kept by local farmers, income per acre increased about 3,800 yuan. The results of this study will have a great prospect on the lycium barbarum cultivation and industrialization.
