Study On The Influence Of Character And Quality In Glehnia Littoralis And American Ginseng Caused By Sulfur-fumigated Process

Objective:The present study compares description characteristics of Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng without sulfur fumigation with sulfur fumigated Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng; and objectively evaluates of the quality of sulfur fumigated Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng.Methods : With before and after sulfur fumigated Glehnia littoralis and American ginseng as the research object,by conventional morphological identification, making a distinction between the sulfur fumigated Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng;through the HPLC, HPLC-MS method,making qualitative analysis for the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehniae littoralis, American ginseng;through the HPLC method,making quantitative analysis for the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehniae littoralis, American ginseng;by acid distillation titration method,determining SO2 residues in the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehniae littoralis, American ginseng;by graphite furnace method and hydride method,determining the content of heavy metals in the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehniae littoralis, American ginseng from different sources.Results : 1.The conventional morphological identification found sulfur fumigated herbs bright color, appearance, texture becomes heavier, sour.2.By analysis of HPLC,HPLC-MS of legality, results showed that the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehniae littoralis,American ginseng ingredients have changed.3.HPLC quantitative analysis found that the main components in the sulfur fumigated Glehniae littoralis,American ginseng were reduced.4.SO2 residues determination of Glehniae littoralis, American ginseng found that sulfur fumigation can greatly increase SO2 residues and the current medicine market still exists the phenomenon SO2 residues exceeds the standard, but having more improved than before.5.In experimental determination of the content of heavy metals,Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng without sulfur fumigation and sulfur fumigated Glehnia littoralis,American ginseng detected heavy metal in different degree,even some sold herds beyond the scope of state regulations.Conclusion : By conclused the sulfur fumigated before and after Glehnia littoralis, American ginseng changes of traits and components,residual of heavy metal and SO2,a certain scientific basis for the comprehensive evaluation of Sulphur Fumigation Glehnia littoralis and American ginseng quality and safety in use was provided.
