The Problems Of The Chinese Education In Philippines

Overseas Chinese Education has always been an important part of overseasChinese affairs, which is also a hot research issue of scholars at home and abroad.After100years’ experience of Chinese education, Philippines has made someachievements in Chinese education, and faces new historical opportunity. Changes ofChinese status and transformation of Chinese caused the decline of Chinese education,which in sharp contrast to the rise of China’s comprehensive national strength, thechanges of international environment and the improvement of Chinese status. Facingthe decline of Chinese education, many Chinese schools have been reformed theteaching management model and enhanced cooperation with China. They hireChinese volunteer teachers, reform teaching methods and improve the treatment ofChinese teachers that caused new wave of transformation of teaching management ofChinese education. This article taking a Chinese school that is drastically reformingteaching management as an example. The author elaborates the history and thepresent situation of the school, analyzes its Chinese teaching management model,summaries its achievements and indicates the development trend of Chineseeducation. The innovation of this paper lies in the following two points. Firstly, Froma macro point of view, there are lots of articles that about Philippine ChineseEducation Management, but there is almost no article that taking Iloilo ScholasticAcademy as a case study. Secondly, the author studies the problems from a macropoint of view according to her management knowledge. The author hopes that thispaper can give domestic scholars of overseas Chinese some enlightenment, and mayserve as a reference to Chinese education administrators of Filipinos.
