In recent years, with the strengthening of China’s national strength and nationalcondition,the “mandarin fever” is warming up all over the world. In the mean time,the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is becoming more and morepopular. However, the research of Ancient Chinese teaching as foreign language islacking. The course of ancient Chinese teaching is very significant in the teaching ofChinese as a foreign language, which is the essential basis to understand Chineseclassical culture, in-depth study contemporary Chinese language and have a moreparticular knowledge of Chinese culture of overseas student. On account of theunfamiliar with the ancient Chinese and fear of difficulty, the problems of the selectionsof teaching materials in textbooks and the traditional teaching approaches of teachers,the teaching practice effect is not ideal. This article intends to make a deep survey of theproblems in teaching process, analysis of the teaching material and curriculum design topropose some new ideas to perfect ancient Chinese teaching curriculum design tooverseas students in terms of content of courses, key points and difficult points andvariety teaching methodology.This article explored the curriculum design of ancient Chinese language teachingto foreign students under these aspects: content of courses, teaching methods and so on.Taking text “Yanzi shi chu” for example, explored an definite curriculum design toprovide references to Chinese teacher for foreigners.This article is consist of five parts: the first chapter is an introduction, introducingthe topics of this study cause, research background and research significance; chaptertwo is the previous research in terms of the ancient Chinese curriculum design and theancient Chinese teaching to overseas students; chapter three is the elaboration of outlinedesign and teaching process design of ancient Chinese curriculum; chapter four is thedefinite curriculum design taking the text “Yanzi shi chu”for example; chapter fiveincludes conclusion, inspiration and the vision of the future.
