Directional complement is a difficult point for teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage, however, compound directional complement "qilai" is one of the mostimportant point in here. It is not only has use a hight frequency use in teaching but "qilai"also has many extended meaning and the sentence pattern of “qilai” is very difficult tomaster, so that students meet a lot of difficulties for studying. There for many faultssuddenly appeared.In further explore the main cause of this issue we may conclude that the first theover generalization by native language and they were influenced by teachingenvironment. For the above reasons of created errors were combined with researches andprevious experience. In order to built suitable strategies teaching and set a teachingmethod for designing simple outline, i hope to provide reference material which can beuseful for teacher who is teaching Chinese in Vietnam and the students.This thesis divided to7parts:Introductory is introduce, elaborate about background, the reason choose and valueof this thesis. Elaborating about research of method and combining with sum up of theseprevious researches.Chapter1: Giving overview extended meaning of the compound directionalcomplement "qilai" to help clearly understand semantics and syntax and also summarizedthe corresponding expression in Vietnamese.Chapter2: Statistics data and analysis about questionnaire examine and tests result.Chapter3: On the basis of statistics and analysis questionnaire examine and testsresult giving the reasons that lead to faults for student when studying about extendedmeaning of the compound directional complement "qilai" as well as explain and divide.Chapter4: Analysis the reasons for errors.Chapter5: On the basis of analysis for appearing the errors of student anddeveloping the appropriate strategies, formulating the teaching strategy, making somecomments and suggestions for those teaching Chinese in VietnamChapter6: This is summary of all the thesis meanwhile give some comments about the short coming of thesis and make a plan for future teaching.
