Directional complement is one of the most highest frquency complements inchinese, and complex directional complement is the difficult point for foreign studentswho are studying the chinese because the complexity of its structure and diversity ofits semantics. This paper bases on the Composition corpus of HSK which made byBeijing Language and Culture University, analyzes and arranges the informationabout its usage of Japanese students. Accessing to the analysis with the useful aspectof Japanese students, I hope I can conclude the type of error and reason of it, and givesome advice of teaching for Japanese students about the usage of complex directionalcomplement.Firstly, the paper explains the purpose and significance of this theme, the basictheory and primary means of this research. The summary concludes three parts: theresearch of identity、the research of errors and the research of acquisition, andgeneralizes the achievement of other scholars. Secondly, I generalize and concludethe material coming from the Composition corpus of HSK, analyze the errors ofthirteen complex directional complements, and calculate the data of this research. Thepaper find:1、When the meanings are easier, the fewer mistakes they will make.2、The error rate of the directional meaning of complex directional complement is higher, and the error of the other meaning of complex directional complement oflexicalization is fewer.3、when the sentence need use the structure that object islocated in the middle, Japanese students often use the the struture that object islocated at the back.Thirdly, the paper concludes the reasons which are leading to the errors ofcomplex directional complements among Japanese students. In my opinion, there arefour reasons in it: generalization of the target language、negative transfer of theirmother tongue、learning strategy which aviods to use、the difference between Chineseand Japanese. Generalization of the target language and negative transfer of their mother tongue are the most primary among these reasons. Then, the paper give someadvices to the teachers which are teaching the complex directional complement toJapanese students. For example, the teaching of lexicalization and visualization、comparison and division、proceeding in an orderly way and step by step、teachingstudents in accordance with their aptitude. Finally, there is a Summary at the end ofthe article.
