A look at the history of the painting learning of Yuan Dynasty, due to the oppression from the Mongolian ruler, making a large number of Yuan Dynasty scholars lost advantageous position and the future of politics. They began to pursue the release of the spirit, abandon earthly life, reclusive mountain, through the depiction of state forests to express their inner feelings. At that time, the majority of the Yuan Dynasty painters exhibit a characteristic of pursuing "fleeing". Ni Zan, a true but enrich in the legend color painter, his landscape paintings practice "fleeing", and making the "fleeing" into his creating. Generally, Ni Zan represent the highest state of "fleeing" in Yuan dynasty.The thesis consists of four parts. The first is the introduction, which outlines the background and significance of the thesis topics and research methods adopted to clarify and research ideas.The second part analyzes the causes and characteristics of the formation of the Yuan Dynasty’s style in painting, and Ni Zan’s hermit life experiences. It is mainly introduce how Ni Zan seeking to embark on a road to except inner spirit, and lift Yuan Dynasty’s painting style to a high level by using "fleeing style".The third part is the core of this paper. It analyses Ni Zan’s creations on the subject, the form of language, the scene image and the creative mind."fleeing style ", the highest level the painter pursue. It is that actually the artistic representation of spiritual sense. Ni Zan represent the highest level of "fleeing style", because he integrates the inner invisible "fleeing felling" into his painting creation perfect. Ni Zan’s paintings mostly depict the Taihu Lake’s southern style.Ni Zan’s landscape painting construct simply, usually using the blank space explain the distant space. We may find from Ni Zan’s painting, he usually use dry ink with a side brush, or sometimes with "fleeing style" to explain his clean mind. In his paintings, there are usually some dead tree and a pavilion with nothing. All the things expect Ni Zan’s high ideal in life for free. It is "fleeing style" which Ni Zan pursued.The last chapter is to illustrate the Influence to the Ming and Qing Dynasty landscape painters which Ni Zan’s style made. The landscape painter learn from Ni Zan’s painting style and form their own style’s art.
