Translation bridges the communications of different languages in the process of which humans exchange their thoughts. With the increasing social and economic development, from Steve Jobs and Jony Ive of America to Ma Yun of China, various kinds of talents are emerging one after another. Therefore nowadays more emphasis has been put on biography translation. This report is focused on the biography translation.This report is based on the report writer’s own biography tranlsation practice of the book Jony Ive published by the China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC) Press. It provides an explicit description about the background of the task, its process, translation strategies and case analysis. Translators have to be creative in biography translation so as to approach the standard "faithfulness and smoothness". With case analysis, the report generalizes different ways that the report writer used when dealing with the original texts.It is not enough to focus all the attention to the fluency on translation. In order to meet the need of the readers, the translator has to ensure the translation is fascinating.Meanwhile the report has many disadvantages. Further researches are encouraged.
