| As Wuzhou’s biggest and most far-reaching economic gala, Wuzhou International Jewelry Festival holds economic cooperation and activities integrating culture, trade and tourism to attract investors home and abroad. With the chance of participation in the Tenth Wuzhou International Jewelry Festival, Wuzhou Jewelry Festival economic texts and historical materials are collected as the translation materials, and aims to improve the international image of Wuzhou by introducing the city’s economic strength, grand culture and rich natural resources.Based on the English translation practice of Wuzhou Jewelry Festival economic texts, this report makes a discussion on the typological feature of source text, related translation theory and translation strategy. Translation cases will be analyzed in the perspective of translation skills and translator intervention. Deficiencies still remain in spite of repeated revision and polishing. In order to offers a good starting point for further study, introspection is made in the last chapter of the report on the deficiency and improvement to conclude the translation rule and translation strategy of Wuzhou Jewelry Festival economic texts. |
