Abstract:With the economic and trade cooperation between China and Kenya, the cultural exchange continues to heat up. Therefore, both countries need many experts who not only understand the technology, but also understand Chinese language, for instance, Chinese tourist guides, lawyers, doctors, and local Chinese teachers. The cultivation of students who have some professional skills not only improved the employability and competitiveness of the students themselves, but also convey the necessary personnel for the local market. Thus, the Chinese language education meets both the needs of students and the market demand. Based on the survey of the purpose of Kenya adults studying Chinese, we are able to learn why they are learning Chinese, so we can use this conclusion to compare with the course objective of CSP in Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, in order to introduce the academic achievement of this professional course. Through the analysis of situation in special purpose Chinese teaching, the author summarized strengths and weakness, and explore the feasibility of open the special purpose Chinese education in cooperative with other Confucius Institute in Kenya.
