Taking Mr Putin’s speech at the Munich security conference as anexample, the purpose of this paper is to solve the problem in translationof consecutive interpretation of the Russian long sentences, this paperin total is divided into three parts: The first part is to clarify thedefinition of consecutive interpretation and to understand the features ofconsecutive interpretation, according to these characteristics to thinkabout if our own methods will be compliant with conditions forconsecutive translation of long sentences in Russian;The second part,mainly illustrates the classification of the Russian sentence and thedifference between the Russian sentence expression and the Chineseexpression. This paper mainly focuses on showing that Russian attachesgreat importance to the grammatical form, while the Chinese focuses onthe logic of meaning. Through the differences between Russian andChinese sentence patterns, this paper further explores the methods ofdealing with Russian long sentence; The third part, brings forward asolution to the translation of Russian long sentence in view of thedifferences between Russian and Chinese and the characteristics ofconsecutive interpretation. The methods are as below: translation inoriginal order, reverse translation, bisection method, comprehensivemethod and supplement method. Hope that through this article can helpRussian learners of simultaneous interpretation and make animprovement in the translation quality.
