As the "Chinese popularity" is growing, as well as Confucius institutes and Confucius Classrooms were set up all over the world, more and more Chinese volunteer teachers were sent to work in the Chinese language teaching organizations overseas. Due to the differences between Chinese culture and foreign culture, when working abroad Chinese volunteer teachers will experience the process of cross-cultural adaptation. The cultural adaptation of the volunteers is becoming more and more attention by people. According to statistics, the majority of volunteers are in Thailand now, and the number is increasing by years, so the Chinese volunteer teachers’cross-cultural adaptation in Thailand is of significance. This paper adopted qualitative research methods, and the researcher went to Thailand as a Chinese volunteer teacher to experience the process of cross-cultural adaptation. According to the conclusion of previous intercultural adaptation proposed the hypothesis of the influenced factors of cross-cultural adaptation, and in accordance with the interview outline, through interviews of other volunteers, final purpose is to summarize the study of factors affecting Chinese volunteer teachers cross-cultural adaptation, thus further according to these factors for the future will be engaged in the work of volunteers putting forward to some suggestions and helping them to adapt to the social culture of Thailand, to complete tasks Chinese promotion and dissemination of Chinese culture.
